Cryolipolysis Tunisia : How to lose weight by cold?

Cryolipolysis is a technique of aesthetic medicine that allows to lose weight by cold. It is a slimming procedure that replaces liposuction and allows the elimination of cellulite by reproducing the effect of cold on localized fat masses. This causes apoptosis, i.e. a natural death of the fat cells.

The principle of cryolipolysis is to suck out the excess fatty masses using a cooling suction cup. Exposed to intense cold, the fat cells aspirated die and are then eliminated by macrophages (in charge of destroying dead cells in the body).

One of the advantages of cryolipolysis is that it is a non-invasive procedure that does not require surgery. It also keeps the cell membranes intact, preventing the release of their fatty acids into the body (which can affect cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood).

Cryolipolysis is intended for slim people with a few areas of excess fat (saddlebags, love handles, knees, double chin, back folds, buttock folds, etc.). It should be noted that people with insufficient fat are not concerned by this technique because a minimum amount of fat is required (about 40mm) for the technique to be effective.

The first step is a consultation with the attending physician so that he/she can examine the patient and make sure that he/she is a good candidate for the treatment and that he/she has no anatomical, metabolic or vascular contraindications. The doctor will have to examine the areas concerned by a potential cryolipolysis (importance of the fat present, elasticity of the skin…) in order to know if the treatment will work or not.

How does cryolipolysis work in Tunisia?

Cryolipolysis is usually performed in cosmetic medicine practices. As it is a non-surgical method, it does not require anaesthesia.

The doctor places the suction cup applicator on the affected area and cools it. The session lasts between 35 and 45 minutes, after which the device is removed and the skin is massaged to warm it up and relax the tissues.

It usually takes only one cryolipolysis session to achieve the desired result. But sometimes the doctor recommends two sessions.
