Thigh lift Tunisia : Thigh repair surgery

Thigh lift in Tunisia: what is thigh plastic surgery?

The thigh lift (or thigh cruroplasty) is a body contouring surgery that removes excess skin from the inner thighs. The purpose of this surgery is to firm and tone the thighs and upper legs.

Indeed, the skin of the inner thighs is thinner and its elastic fibers are more fragile. It is therefore subject to rapid deterioration as a result of natural aging or frequent weight fluctuations.

Often, this sagging of the skin is accompanied by an excess of fat. This can cause discomfort when walking because of the resulting friction. Since liposuction alone is usually not enough to treat this problem, a tightening of the skin of the thighs (lifting) is necessary.

Procedure of the thigh lift in Tunisia

Thigh repair surgery can be performed under general or local anesthesia. The procedure lasts about 2 hours and requires a hospitalization at the clinic of 1 to 3 days.

The surgeon begins by performing liposuction of the inner thighs. This allows for the removal of excess fat which is then aspirated by very fine cannulas (4mm).

Once the liposuction is completed, the doctor proceeds to the facelift. A vertical incision in the groin fold is made. The excess skin and skin tissue of the crotch is then removed and the skin is stretched and redraped.

Once the operation is completed, a bandage is put in place with sticky elastic bands to support and protect the operated area.

Thigh lift in Tunisia: what you need to know before you start

The first step in a thigh lift operation in Tunisia is to make an appointment with the surgeon for a pre-operative assessment. He will have to establish a thorough medical examination of your state of health but also of the skin characteristics of the area to be operated on (the inner thighs). He will then be able to present his diagnosis and give his opinion and inform you of the risks, the recovery time, the cost of the operation and the length of stay at the clinic and the hotel.

It is important to note that the thigh lift in Tunisia requires a complete stop of smoking one month before the operation, then 15 days after the operation (until the healing).

What are the different thigh lift techniques in Tunisia?

  • Many women are not satisfied with their bodies.¬†Many turn to dieting and exercise.¬†However, this does not always work.¬†Sometimes dieting is simply not enough to eliminate localized fat.¬†Even if it does work, it can result in large amounts of unsightly skin sagging around the thighs.¬†This can leave women with even more problems.¬†The only way to remove this skin is to undergo thigh lift surgery in Tunisia.¬†There are several techniques for thigh lift surgery in Tunisia.¬†

A thigh lift is performed on the inner part of the upper thigh. The skin around the thigh can begin to lose elasticity and become loose as a result of weight loss and especially if it has occurred very quickly or simply due to the aging process. Regardless of the reason for a thigh lift, it can help to significantly remove excess skin and fat around the thigh.

To perform a thigh lift in Tunisia using this technique, the surgeon begins by making an incision in the crease where the thigh meets the pubic area. This incision is placed in the groin area to help reduce visible scarring.

The incision begins at the top of the pubic bone, near the hip bone.¬†It will follow the natural fold of your body, extending around the back of the buttocks.¬†Afterwards, a large amount of skin and fat is removed.¬†This may or may not involve liposuction, depending on the patient’s wishes.¬†After this, the thigh is lifted by sewing the skin in a higher and tighter position than before.¬†The scar is located in the groin, which gives a subtle appearance.¬†This is the most discreet type of thigh lift.¬†Scars are kept to a minimum, but excellent results can still be achieved.

A vertical scar thigh lift is used for patients who have excess skin extending around the thigh. While an internal thigh lift focuses on the upper part, this type of lift also treats the middle and lower parts of the thigh. Since this procedure treats a larger area of the body, it requires a larger incision. The incision in this technique starts from the upper inner thigh and extends to the inner knee area. In this case, larger, noticeable scars are left behind. Whereas the scars of an inner thigh lift are discreet and hidden under the underwear. Because this procedure is more extensive, it is only recommended for patients who have very large amounts of excess skin to remove.

*Disclaimer: results may vary from one person to another depending on the morphology of the patients.

Many patients who want to improve the appearance of their thighs are good candidates for thigh lift surgery, but they will need to meet certain requirements to qualify for this surgery. These criteria help them stay safe during the procedure and maximize the chances of achieving a new look. Your cosmetic surgeon will be able to evaluate your candidacy by examining your body, reviewing your medical records and discussing your goals with you during your initial consultation.

  • *There is usually an edema (swelling) and bruises, but they disappear after 10 to 20 days.
*Slight pain may be felt (painkillers are then prescribed), generally accompanied by aches and pains in the operated area.
*The scar is located in a humid area (at the bottom of a deep furrow), and healing is a little long. It is therefore recommended to avoid any sudden movement during this period and to stop working.
*It is recommended to resume work after one to three weeks. Sports activities can be resumed after 6 weeks of rest.
*You will have difficulty walking during the first few days, but it is recommended to walk to avoid the risk of phlebitis.

As far as anesthesia is concerned, during the consultation, the anesthesiologist will himself inform the patient of the anesthetic risks. The fact of having recourse to a perfectly competent anesthesiologist, practicing in a truly surgical context, means that the risks incurred have become statistically very low.
It is important to know that techniques, anesthetic products and monitoring methods have made immense progress over the last thirty years, offering optimal safety, especially when the operation is performed outside of an emergency and on a person in good health.

As far as the surgical procedure is concerned, by choosing a qualified and competent Plastic Surgeon, trained in this type of procedure, you limit these risks as much as possible, without however eliminating them completely.

Indeed, complications can occur during a lift of the inner thighs, which is one of the most delicate procedures in plastic and aesthetic surgery.
Among these possible complications, we must mention :

– Thrombo-embolic accidents: preventive measures: wearing anti-thrombosis stockings, early lifting, possibly anti-coagulant treatment.
– The occurrence of a hematoma, which is in fact quite rare, may justify an evacuation in order to avoid the risk of altering the aesthetic quality of the result.
– The occurrence of an infection is prevented by rigorous pre- and post-operative hygiene until complete healing.
– An effusion linked to a flow of lymph and oozing fat. Compression and rest are the best ways to prevent this.
– A delay in healing is possible
– Skin necrosis: this is much more frequent in smokers, especially if the cessation of smoking has not been strictly respected.
РAlterations in sensitivity: normal sensitivity usually reappears within 6 to 12 months after the operation.
