The reduction of the mount of Venus is a surgical procedure which is done in ambulatory. The type of anesthesia (general or local) depends on your preferences as well as the surgeon’s and the anesthesiologist’s opinion. The procedure lasts between 30 and 45 minutes.
The surgeon begins by making the incisions on the tracings previously made. He then introduces a very fine cannula through these tiny incisions and proceeds with the aspiration of the fatty tissues. Because of the fragility of the operated area, liposuction must be done in a gentle manner.
The incisions are then closed with absorbable sutures. A garment is placed over the wound to protect it and facilitate healing.
